Athletic Journey
James' passion for sport and fitness was shaped by his experiences playing hockey, lacrosse, and basketball, which sparked a lifelong interest in athletic performance, strategy, and recovery.
Educational Pathway
James earned his Bachelor of Kinesiology with Distinction from the University of Calgary and gained valuable hands-on experience through practicum placements at a physiotherapy clinic, the University of Calgary Rehabilitation and Fitness Program, and by coaching youth basketball before becoming a personal trainer. In September 2025, James began his Master of Kinesiology while working as a personal trainer, balancing graduate studies with coaching clients in the evenings. He looks forward to completing his master's degree and pursuing a future strength and conditioning internship with the Canadian Sport Institute.
